The light winds and sloppy seas at the Panerai event in Antibes this week proved a challenge for Skylark. The lighter faster Q Class yachts helmed by America’s Cup veterans Bruno Trouble and Mauro Pellaschier were never in reach by any of the classic fleet, at times finishing over 30 minutes ahead of their competitors. These day racing boats are unmatched until the breeze gets stronger when they begin to struggle. Skylark finished a credible 5th overall – leading S&S yawl with Stormy Weather in 7th, Manitou in 8th and Comet in 10th.
