Corsica Classic 2015 – Day 3

Race 3 of this 7 day event took the fleet from the protected anchorage of Porto Pollo down to the Navigation Tower (Isolated Danger Mark) off Pointe des Moines near Bonifacio – a race of some 30 miles. Skylark had an unexpected challenge in that some of her crew required a sabbatical so rested for the day aboard Skylark’s motherships Alexa and El Bueno.

The five remaining crew – undaunted by the challenge before them – won the pin end of the start and again controlled the fleet from this advantageous position. After a very long spinnaker reach in winds under 5 knots, Skylark crossed the finish line by Moines ahead of all her nearest rivals, winning the third race in a row.
